I am an academic general practitioner and currently hold an NIHR Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Sheffield. I have lived in and worked in The Gambia, both during my PhD at MRC The Gambia at LSHTM and the University of Birmingham, and more recently on TB Sequel, a study exploring lung impairment post TB infection. I currently hold a WHO consultancy role working on growing the Global Alliance Against Respiratory Diseases community on the WHO Knowledge Action Portal. Recently, I led a Delphi process on the clinical standards for asthma management in low- and middle-income countries.
GAN gratefully acknowledges funding from the University of Auckland and Wellcome (Grant number 203919/Z/16/Z) as well as sponsorship from AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline that has helped to make the GAN Symposium 2024 possible. We thank the speakers and the organisations they represent for their contributions including securing their own funding to enable their participation. The Symposium programme was developed independently by the GAN Steering Group.
